How to access your email
You can have as many email addresses as you need! We can manage the accounts for you, supply sign in so you can set up and control your mail boxes or we can update MX mail records to allow your email to be handled by eg another Microsoft 365 account.

Good for privacy, but works differently from traditional POP/IMAP email.

How to set up and manage your email accounts
Email settings for all accounts
You can retrieve your email using your own computer, mobile device, or preferred email software. We will supply your login details so you can choose how you read your email.
The example below uses the email address your-name@your-domain.com.
Important general settings
These rules apply to almost all email programs on Windows, Mac and mobile devices:
o The username is always your full email address
o The incoming and outgoing mail server is always:
mail.serenweb.com
o SMTP (outgoing mail) authentication must be enabled
o Use the same username and password for incoming and outgoing mail
If asked about authentication type, select Password or Normal password. Do not select Microsoft, Google, OAuth or secure token login.
Recommended settings (IMAP)
IMAP is recommended if you use more than one device.

POP settings (alternative)
POP downloads email directly to one device and is best used on a single computer.

If you cannot send email
If receiving works but sending fails:
o Ensure SMTP authentication is enabled
o Confirm the outgoing server is mail.serenweb.com
o Use port 587 with STARTTLS or port 465 with SSL/TLS
o Ensure the username is your full email address

Network retrieval of mails on office-based mail server
If you have a networked office computer system with many users, we strongly urge you to invest in a mail server in-house with a competent IT professional to help you manage the mail accounts. We are happy to change the MX and A records which control delivery of mail at your domain so they are delivered straight to your office mail server. Please ask your IT technical adviser to contact us direct so we can re-configure the mail records for your web domain.
